Enable Athena Board’s AI Document Summary Feature

A new addition to Athena Board is a powerful AI backed document summary feature. Once enabled, all standard binder items are automatically summarised as they are uploaded, and these are made available to all attendees and recipients that have access to the document.

The summaries are a powerful tool for users to efficiently traverse complex board subjects and make best use of their time. We have several blog posts covering the use of AI in the board room as well as the insight and effectiveness gains that can be made when using AI summaries.

To allow the feature for your organisation’s use, it must be specifically enabled in the admin portal.

From the top right menu:

Select Company settings and then click on the switch next to ‘Create an AI Summary of each binder item’

When enabled, each NEW document that is uploaded to a binder will automatically have a summary created for it.

Admin’s can delete and restore summaries on an item-by-item basis by selecting this option from the hamburger menu to the right of each item:

As each summary is created, you will see the ‘AI Summary’ button appear. 

Clicking on the ‘AI Summary’ button will display the created summary for that item. E.g.

Please note that currently summaries are ONLY created for newly uploaded binder items, not for items already within the Athena Board system.
