Admins and users
Athena Board has two user types: ‘Admins’ and ‘Users’. Each of these types consumes a licence.
Usually, admins are the folks that administer the board, and users are the directors or executives that consume the board data via the Athena Board applications.
However, admins can also act as a user. Admins can be added to binders in the same way as users and therefore receive the board papers as either an attendee (if they attend the board meeting) or a recipient.
In this way there is no need to purchase an additional licence if the admin is also a member of a board or committee.
When an admin wishes to administer a board, they must log into the admin portal at admin.athenaboard.com. Only admins can log into the admin portal. The Athena Board apps are for consumption only, they do not support managing the boards and committees.
When an admin wishes to consume board content as a user, they must use an Athena Board app; iOS, macOS, iPadOS, Windows or web.
